Say That Again?!?

Hayden: Dad, I don't like it when mom checks my pockets.
Mike: Why?
Hayden: Cause then she finds stuff I borrowed. (e.g. my dad's, SD camera card that was in a plastic "suitcase", breath mints from the store, etc.)

(This happened right before Christmas when there was a small Christmas tree in his room)
Hayden: An angel was in my room last night!
Me: Really...what did the angel say?
Hayden: That I'm going to be a superhero when I'm 5!

Hayden's dinner blessing for the last week:

Heavenly Father, please bless that I can bring the ring of doom (Lord of the Rings) to church, and to school. Amen.

My favorite phrases from Andy

"Is Hayden naughty?"
"Mom, what you doin?"

My boys always put a smile on my face!

Disneyland Vacation
We all had a blast in Disneyland! The boys had so much fun running from ride to ride. Both boys got a kick out of meeting Mickey and the other Disney Characters. Hayden's favorite part was when he was chosen to participate in the 'Jedi Training' show. He is soooo excited that he is now an official Jedi. It hilarious watching him up on stage taking things so seriously. As usual, I took a million pictures so there were a lot to post......

Trip to the ER

Hayden decided it would be a good idea to crack his head open the day before we leave to Disneyland. I was getting ready to take Andy to the doctor because of an ear infection when Hayden fell off the top of the couch and cracked his head on the edge of our baseboard. We nixed the doctors appointment and Thad's birthday party (sorry Thad, Happy Birthday!) and ran Hayden to the ER. I felt so bad for the poor kid! He had 8 staples put in! (the doctor said it would be easier on Hayden to have stapes put in rather than stiches, he's the doctor?) He was so brave!

I have to say that there was a crazy variety of people in the ER. My favorite was the guy in his mid 30's, covered in tatoo's, with a sweet haircut who walked in and stated with his gruffy voice, "I've been bit by a pit."

So, still covered in blood, we ran home to put the kids to bed and finish packing. While Mike was getting Hayden in bed Hayden said, "Hey Dad, I know what's in blood! A little bit of jelly, and two spiders." Funny kid.

After about 1 hour of sleep (I wish I were exagerating) and running to our flight (apparently it's the busiest travel day of the year at SLC airport) we made it to Anaheim. Andy was finally seen by a doctor and perscribed meds for his ear infections. Now it's time for some sleep. I'll post some pictures of the trip when we get home.
